There are so many misconceptions about boudoir photography. Boudoir is basically sensual intimate photography created to make you feel amazing and beautiful. It is for all women and isn't reliant on age or dress size. You don’t need to be a model or know anything about posing in front of the camera to get amazing photos but we also do more than boudoir! Boudoir is a about a brave self love experience though you might be surprised at how empower you feel in longerie infront of a camer we will design any clothed portrait shoot you desire also. Or a little of both!

The Experience
We know you probably aren’t used to the camera or maybe even like cameras which is why we will do everything we can so that you’ll feel beautiful and confident about your session! It's ok if you are nervous! You can just roll in with your sloppy track pants on and we will take care of the rest!
Our all-female team has got you covered from hair and makeup to what to wear (including access to our amazing client wardrobe), posing, what to do with your face and hands everything! Most poses I demo and then basically boss you around (nicely!) the whole time so you don’t have to worry about anything.
We do lots of laughing! There’s music of your choice, a welcome drink, there’s pampering and in the end you will have the best photos of yourself you have ever seen and you are going to walk out feeling so beautiful!

My name is Amanda and I am a fulltime portrait photographer. I have had the joy of photographing 100s of women over the last 2 years. I specialise in assisting woman feel beautiful through photography. There’s nothing that makes me happier than using photography to spark self love and confidence in my client. I am a normal woman like you, I just turned 50 this year and find I am feeling more confident in my own skin as I get older. I enjoy travel and own a campervan, I have two adult children who are off living their own lives. I spent 20 years as counsellor/health professional and do all I can to help you not to be so hard on yourself by showing you how beautiful you really are. I find my clients come in as strangers but leave as friends with many returning again for another shoot and joining our fun supportive facebook group to support other women doing their shoots.

A Photoshoot with me is an experience you will treasure and look back on as one of the most fun things you have done for yourself for a long time! Our glamour boudoir shoots start in our tailor designed home studio overlooking the water in New Brighton but I am also able to have the photoshoot at your home or at a beautiful out door location.
So what's included:

2 hours of photography time in front of the camera, having fun with the looks. I am an expert poser of women and will direct you exactly what to do so you look incredible in your photos and don't spend a moment unsure of what to do.

Access to my incredible client wardrobe filled with lingerie, stiletto's, accessories of all types, also amazing statement pieces such as beautiful gowns and even two pairs of wings!
I have handpicked my lingerie to be flattering and I've been sure to have a range of sizes to fit size 6- 24. To look at some of my range check out the top on my Instagram page (Boudoir Christchurch) on highlights. My wardrobe will save you money on buying your own lingerie however you are also very welcome to come with your own beautiful items. If you aren't sure what to wear I will give you style advice on the day and send you a preparation and wardrobe guide before your shoot. -
A welcome drink, bubbles or kombucha, etc.

Also included is a private viewing appointment in person or by zoom where you get to go through all of the beautiful photos we created of you together and choose the ones you love and choose between the products you can buy!
There are also opportunities to divide your shoot to a 1 indoor and a 1 hour outside shoot with some lovely outdoor images at the beach, forest or at a gorgeous location on the hills.
*Images and Products aren't included on the sitting fee however we offer resonable packages and options. Professionally edited images for $15 per edit and prints, albums options from $250 for a small album.
There is little value in your portraiture investment unless you have something tangible at its conclusion to enjoy. A printed piece that lives permanently in your home you will cherish for years to come. You want a picture of you on your wall that is moving for you daily when you can wake up and go dang that’s me and I am beautiful.
We offer a wide range of products from Prints to hang on your wall, to small albums which include digitals to larger luxury albums to print boxes or a fun calendar.

FAQ
WHO DOES MY HAIR AND MAKEUP?
Having your hair and makeup done by one of my professional hair and makeup experts is a great start to your experience. As you sit there sipping your bubbles and chatting to them you will feel calmed and comforted that you are in capable hands. Photographic makeup is different to other makeup and so we recommend you have it professionally done. You can choose your own makeup artist but I can arrange my trusted artist for you and you can pay her directly from $80-110. This takes around 1.5 and can be done at their centrally located makup rooms.
WHERE IS THE LOCATION?
I have a purpose built studio in New Brighton over looking the water. It features a chaise lounge with a neon sing and two bedrooms to shoot in. One a dark green room for some dark and moody shots and the other white and boho for a classic look. We also have some fun furniture in the lounge to pose on, including a very large mirror.
I do travel monthly as well and offer popular weekend boudoir marathons in Wellington, Nelson, Blenheim and Dunedin. If you want to join one of these contact me and I will add you to the waitlist to be told as soon as we have a date.
WHAT KIND OF SESSIONS DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH?
I love to photograph women and when I get a chance men also. My aim for my photography is to capture beautiful portraits of you that you will love and treasure forever. I actually don't mind what you wear so I am just as happy photographing you in your favorite clothes or coming up with a special outfit. I am mainly a natural light photographer as I want to concentrate on you and keeping mobile rather than fiddling with lights but I do use some lighting. I love both inside and outside images where I can combine my love of landscape photography with beautiful. portraits. I also offer couples, maternity, personal branding, and bridal boudoir. While this site talks about "Men and Women" I am very open to creating beautiful affirming and empowering photoshoots for gender diverse people and have photographed many people from the LGBT community.
DO I CHOOSE WHICH PRODUCTS I WANT BEFORE THE SHOOT?
It's completely up to you. If you decide to pay a product off before the shoot I will give you a free gift but you are also very welcome to wait for the after shoot reveal and choose what you love then based on the images you really love. Afterpay is available or a payment plan.
WILL YOU EDIT STRETCH MARKS AND SKIN IMPERFECTIONS?
I do make edits to your photos such as skin smoothing and removed any blemishes such as pimples or bruises you want to be removed.
If you want something larger edited such as large tattoos or scars please discuss prior as there may be a small additional cost per image. I do try to show you, you are beautiful by enhancing your natural beauty so I don’t typically use any kind of shape-changing technology however if you want something extra I can discuss with you. We are also able to do fantasy edits that add fantasy elements through photoshop etc for special effects. These types of edits cost an extra $40 per hour as we do love to do something creative.
WHAT IF I DON’T WANT MY PHOTOS ONLINE?
It's completely up to you whether you want me to share any of your photos online. I will ask you after you have received your photos and I completely understand if you want them to be completely private. You will notice if you follow my facebook page that women who have shared their photos and sometimes their stories of growing to love themselves have gotten alot of support from our online community.
CAN I GET DIGITAL FILES OF THE IMAGES?
Yes, I offer digital file package and a combination of both.
